World University Badminton Championships: Michiharu Kido crushes Victor Mokoena in team-event clash

Michiharu Kido, one of the young and talented shuttlers of Japan, played with impressive precision in Men?s Singles clash and stamped his mark over South Africa?s Victor Mokoena at the team-event match of 12th World University Badminton Championships on Tuesday, November 6, in Korea.

The incredible Michiharu was in tremendous form as he showed a great performance on court by playing with precision and managed to crush his South African opponent in a completely dictating fashion with a stunning margin on score board.

Michiharu showed a great aggression on court by taking the bird early from all areas and managed to register a spectacular victory over Victor by finishing off the match in straight games while consuming just 24 minutes on court.

In the meanwhile, Victor tried his best to show a huge resistance but he could not manage to stop the progress of his rival and eventually went down to his Japanese rival with a humiliating margin on score board.

In the first set of this team-event clash, Michiharu delivered extremely well from the initial rallies as he played with wonderful speed and did not face any trouble in setting up a huge lead.

Michiharu showed aggression in the arena which helped him to push his rival on back foot and he remained ahead on the board until the end of opening half of first game.

After the mid-game interval, the in-form Michiharu stayed in commanding position all the way without showing any respect to his South African opponent who could not play positive badminton.

The impressive Michiharu remained comfortable in the arena by moving smoothly in all areas and clinched the first set with an incredible margin of 21-7.

In the second set, the situation was not much difference as Michiharu was again on the driving seat. He did not spare any chance for Victor of playing positive badminton and took a reasonable lead.

Japanese shuttler displayed his incredible skills on court by taking the bird timely from all corners and built a huge gap in opening half.

After the break, Michiharu continued putting up positive show of attacking badminton and ended up the set in a smashing way by a stunning margin of 21-9.

Michiharu emerged as the winner against Victor in straight sets with a dominating 21-7 and 21-9 score on the board.
